Santiago joined IGNIA in 2021 and focuses on providing strategic and analytical support to portfolio companies, in addition to sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities.

Prior to joining IGNIA, Santiago worked as an investment banking associate at MXC Capital, providing financial advisory services to clients spanning across an array of industry sectors. Moreover, he was responsible for the firm’s debt and equity structuring efforts, including a microcredit portfolio securitization, the nation’s first multifamily-focused FIBRA, and a CKD follow-on, among others.Previously, he worked at UNIFIN Financiera (BMV: UNIFINA)—Latin America’s largest independent leasing company—as a Special Projects Coordinator and FP&A Analyst, where he devised new strategies and products to better serve Mexico’s SME ecosystem.

Additionally, he is a regular contributor and ghostwriter on equity research platform Seeking Alpha.Santiago holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.
